2026 Youth Organizing Summit

Saturday, August 29, 2026 | 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Leni Fe Bland Forum, Santa Barbara City College
721 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93109

As communities across the country face growing challenges, young people are organizing, speaking out, and leading change. The Youth Organizing Summit is an opportunity for youth to connect with peers from across the region, build organizing and civic engagement skills, and explore ways to take action on the issues that matter most to them.

This all-day gathering will bring together youth from across Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties for workshops, panels, speakers, and conversations focused on the issues impacting young people and the changes they want to see in their communities.

Open to high school and junior high youth, as well as educators, organizers, and adult allies, the summit will create space for young people to connect with peers, build skills for organizing and civic engagement ahead of another important election season, and discover new ways to get involved in creating change.

Free to attend. Meals, interpretation, and transportation support will be available. Additional details and registration information will be announced soon. For questions, contact [email protected].

The Youth Organizing Summit is a partnership of The Fund for Santa Barbara and The McCune Foundation.
