Women, Life, Freedom

The Santa Maria Public Library, AAUW (American Association of University Women), and the Women’s March of Santa Maria Valley, will celebrate International Women’s Day featuring a presentation by Dr. Golnaz Agahi titled “Women, Life, Freedom” (“Zan, Zendegi, Azadi”) . Dr. Agahi will speak on living through the Iranian revolution, women’s rights in Iran and around the world, and her personal advocacy here in the U.S. The event will be held from 5-6:30pm at the Santa Maria Public Library (421 S. Mcclelland St.) with participation on Zoom as well but pre-registration is required. For information, please call the Library’s Information Desk at 805-925-0994.
