Warming Shelters and a Broken System: Separating Fact from Fiction in the Lives of Unhoused Citizens

April 13 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us at our forum, “Warming Shelters and a Broken System,” to dissect the realities faced by unhoused citizens and address the systemic flaws that perpetuate their plight. Our gathering aims to debunk myths, encourage open dialogue, and pave the way for reforms that ensure dignity and societal progress.

Highlights of the Day:
Panel Discussion and Q&A: Join a critical conversation with experts and activists. This session offers a deep dive into the realities and myths of unhoused citizens’ lives, aligning with our theme, “Warming Shelters and a Broken System.” Engage, inquire, and be part of the dialogue to separate fact from fiction.
Refreshments and Snacks: While we dissect the complexities of our broken shelter system, enjoy a selection of complimentary refreshments and snacks at The Anchor Rose Restaurant. This break is a moment to network and digest the insights shared, fostering a sense of community and collective understanding.
Film Screenings: Watch compelling narratives that shed light on the struggles and resilience of unhoused individuals within the flawed system. These screenings will complement our discussions, offering visual and emotional insights into the challenges and necessities of improving shelter policies and practices.

We look forward to welcoming you to this important discussion.
