Gathering of Native Americans (GONA)

American Indian Health & Services hosts an annual Gathering of Native Americans (GONA) for American Indian/Alaska Natives residing in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. AIH&S GONA event is a FREE 4-day program designed to strengthen the community and individuals by supporting youth in safe, culturally grounded space that impowers American Indian/Alaska Native cultural-values, traditions, and spiritual practices. The GONA will take place daily from 9 AM – 4 PM beginning at AIH&S 3227 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 location. Each day we will travel to different locations within Santa Barbara and Ventura County for the day’s activities. Families of participants are invited to participate days 1 and 4 of the GONA event.
Transportation and food will be provided. (Transportation is provided from AIH&S to daily locations and back to AIH&S)
Who is eligible to participate?
Youth – American Indian/Alaska Native youth ages 12-17, that live in Santa Barbara or Ventura County
Peacemakers – American Indian/Alaska Native transitional aged youth 18-24 that live in Santa Barbara or Ventura County.

– Cultural Contributors
*Please note for the safety of our youth, background checks are required for participants ages 18+. Background checks will be conducted after registration via 3rd party.
