Capital Campaigns: Are you Ready?

A Capital Campaign is an exciting and important stage in the life of a nonprofit organization! But is your organization ready to conduct a capital campaign? Do you have the organizational capacity to support it? Are your volunteers ready to take on this major project? How will a capital campaign impact your organization’s operations? These are critical questions, among others, that you should take into account before launching a campaign. Steve Willmont, CFRE, Senior Vice President at Netzel Grigsby Associates will lead this workshop to help you analyze your organization’s readiness for a capital campaign, and the preparation steps you should plan to take. Joining him in this session will be Andrew Peake, Director of Advancement for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme. Andrew has just concluded a $5 million capital campaign and will share some of the lessons learned from the experience and the importance of being ready.
This event is co-hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties Chapter. AFP and CNL members may attend this event for no additional fee.
