The Fund for Santa Barbara's 21st Annual Bread & Roses Community Celebration will take place on Saturday, October 18th at QAD. Bread & Roses is the Fund for Santa Barbara's largest annual celebration. It is a time for community activists, donors, volunteers, elected leaders, and all supporters of progressive social change to gather, celebrate our work together and raise money for the Fund's grant-making and technical assistance programs.

Two Financial Literacy Workshops with Nonprofit Finance Fund

in Santa Maria on September 16th

Linking Money to Mission:
Uncovering the Financial Story

Get an in-depth look at how to assess an organization's financial health and operating performance through this workshop tailored for a beginner to intermediate audience. The workshop elucidates not just how to read financial statements, but how to analyze an organizations true operating performance which then informs strategy and decision-making. From this, nonprofit leaders can better articulate their financial position internally and to their stakeholders, as well as make more informed management decisions.

A Balancing Act

Tailored for an intermediate to advanced audience, this workshop will provide an overview of concepts, strategies and considerations for nonprofit financial management and long-term sustainability planning. NFF will take participants through a review of the key metrics and indicators of a nonprofit’s financial health and performance, leading in to an in-depth look at how to assess an organization’s business model, capital structure and make strategic, data-drive decisions for long-term sustainability planning and management.
