The FUND FOR SANTA BARBARA is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation that supports grassroots organizations working for social,
economic and environmental justice in Santa Barbara County.

Since 1980, the FUND has given over $3 million to more than 700 projects. The FUND also provides technical assistance to more than
200 projects each year.

Bread & Roses 2008

Bread & Roses is the Fund for Santa Barbara's largest annual celebration. It is a time for activists, donors, volunteers, elected leaders, and all supporters of progressive social change to gather, celebrate our work together and raise money for the Fund's grant-making and technical assistance programs. This year’s event will once again feature a gourmet buffet-style dinner from our region’s finest restaurants, wines from local vintners and both a live & silent auction...

NEW THIS YEAR
2008 also marks a few "firsts":

FIRST - we have a new site! Bread & Roses 2008 will be at the QAD Training Center on Ortega Hill Road in Summerland - a beautiful site overlooking the Santa Barbara Channel...

SECOND - We will be hosting an on-line auction for the first time ever (in addition to our live and silent auctions)... more information coming soon...

THIRD - 2008 marks the 15th Anniversary of Bread & Roses, so we'll be coming up with something special to celebrate... stay tuned!
